Judy Whitson

Judy Ann Whitson, 76, Blountville, went to be with the Lord surrounded by her family on Friday, June 14, 2024. Born in Baltimore, MD, she has lived in this area most of her life. She worked as a nurse for Dr. Jarvis at the children’s clinic and later Mt. Region Pediatrics. She was an active member of Buffalo Ridge Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Edwina Ogle; husband, Bob Whitson and a brother, Mark Ogle.

Judy is survived by 2 daughters, Laura Littleford and husband, Anthony, and Tracie Carrier and husband, Scotty; son, Bobby Whitson and wife, April; 5 grandchildren, Michael (Brittany) Littleford, Stephen (Leslie) Carrier, Tiffany (Travis) Taylor, Mia (Hunter) Mobley, and Ethan Kerley; 2 great-grandchildren, Kirra Littleford and Easton Taylor; 2 brothers, Frank Ogle Jr. and wife, Linda, and Michael Ogle and wife, Karen; sister, Kathy Evans and husband, Tommy; several nieces and nephews; and dearly loved best friends, Peggy Millhorn and the late Anice Barnard.

The family will receive friends from 4-7:00 pm on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at Buffalo Ridge Baptist Church, Gray. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm with Pastor John Herdman officiating.

The graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at Hamlett-Dobson Memorial Park, in the Garden of Everlasting Life.

 Pallbearers will be Bobby Whitson, Anthony Littleford, Scotty Carrier, Michael Littleford, Ethan Kerley, Travis Taylor and honorary pallbearers, Stephen Carrier and Hunter Mobley.
