Julia Annette Corby

Julia Annette Corby, 46, Fall Branch, finished her course on Saturday August 29, 2009 at her home following a lengthy illness.

Mrs. Corby was the daughter of Fred Austin and the late Joyce Austin.

She was a graduate of Daniel Boone High School and Hiwassee College, where she received a degree as a medical secretary.

Julia was a strong Christian, a member of Bethesda Free Will Baptist Church, and loved teaching children's Sunday school.

She was an inspiration to all who knew her, as she held fast to her faith through her suffering. She always had a smile, drawing strength from her Heavenly Father, as He prepared her place in paradise.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her twin infants, whom she so looked forward to meeting in Heaven.

Surviving are her devoted husband of 18 years, Ralph Corby; mother-in-law, Peggy Corby; father, Fred Austin; brothers, Tommy Austin and wife, Vickie, and Steve Austin and friend, Sanda Munford; sister, Pam Altman and husband, Keith; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Monday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Fall Branch. Services will be at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Keith Williams officiating. Music will provided by Tommy and Vickie Austin.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Lighthouse Full Gospel Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Austin, Steve Austin, Shawn Jenkins, Logan Jenkins, Keith Altman, and David Broyles. Honorary pallbearer will be Chet Laws.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff at Amedisys Hospice of Kingsport.
