Julia Margarette Johnson, born July 31, 1916, passed away December 23, 2012, peacefully at home.
A native and resident of Scott County, Virginia, she is a retired school teacher with the Hawkins County School System. She was a member of First Broad Street United Methodist Church, member of Fidelis Sunday School Class, UMW, Circles #2 & #5, and the Live Wires Sunday School on the air. The Church was a very important part of her life.
Preceded in death by husband, Bascom Johnson, and daughter, Julia Margarette Arnold. Surviving are three daughters, Elizabeth Lilly, Knoxville, Virginia Bill Tyler, Knoxville, Mary Keith Darnell, Paris, Tennessee; two sons, David Julie Johnson, Kingsport, John C. Angela Johnson, Blountville, Tennessee. There are 16 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and several special nieces and nephews. She enjoyed reading, her flowers, friends and pets.

Interment will be held at Holston View Cemetery at 12:30pm on Wednesday, December 26, 2012.
Services will be held at First Broad Street United Methodist Church at 2:00pm on Wednesday, December 26, 2012. The Family will receive friends following the service.
