June Hall

June 2, 1941 — April 6, 2020

June Hall

June Hall, 78, passed away Monday, April 6, 2020 at home with family by her side.  Born to Robert and Mabel Jobe on June 2, 1941, she was a lifelong resident of Kingsport.  She graduated from Dobyns-Bennett High School and Northeast State and worked for Eastman, Mead, Kingsport Press, Crown Data and later retired from McNutt and Sons Electrical Company.

She was an active member of Fordtown Baptist Church for over 50 years where she served in the nursery and on the hostess committee for many of those years. June was an avid reader and enjoyed working with almost any kind of puzzle – crossword or jigsaw; but most of all she enjoyed spending time with family, especially her children and grandchildren.

June was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mabel Jobe, and brothers, William Jobe and Pete Jobe.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Jimmy Hall; daughters, Tammy (Bob) Arnold of Atlanta, and Sabrina Hall of Baltimore; grandchildren, Katie Arnold and James Arnold; brother, Bobby Jobe of Johnson City; sisters, Jackie Self, of Deland, Florida, and Debbie Koehler of Atlanta; and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Amedisys Hospice and RN Becky for their care and attention to June.  We would also like to thank those who helped care for her – Gina Hall, Amy Jones, Cecil and Betty Tester, Barbara Blevins, Charlene Davis, Pat Kirby, Tammy Geiselman, and Dail and Kim Kitzmiller. You all are part of our family. We love you.

Please join the family for a graveside Celebration of Life ceremony on Saturday, June 12, 201 at 11:00 am.  The service will be held at Pond Cemetery at the intersection of Lebanon Road and Fordtown Road.

Donations may be made in her memory to a charity of your choice, or to the Lewy Body Dementia Association, lbda.org/donate.
