June Nottingham

June Crabtree Nottingham, 88, Kingsport, after a life well lived with her devoted husband and one true love of 67 years, was peacefully delivered into the arms of the Lord on Sunday, May 6, 2018. June was born in North Holston, VA and came to Kingsport in 1955. She was a member of First Baptist Church, a lifelong member of the Netherland Inn Association and the DAR. June was the epitome of southern hospitality and a very loving wife, mother and grandmother. According to friends and family "Heaven just got a lot more fun, that's for sure!"

She was preceded in death by her parents, Garland and Elsie Crabtree; brothers, Buddy and Jerry Crabtree; and grandson, Robbie Nottingham.

June is survived by her husband, P.T. Nottingham, Jr.; 2 sons, Paul Thomas Nottingham, III and wife, Debbie of Kingsport, and James Dwayne Nottingham and wife, Miranda of Church Hill; daughter, Lela Nottingham Miller and husband, Mike of Kingsport; 9 grandchildren, Kimberly Wilhite, Sara Beth Burris, Jennifer Harville, Katy Nottingham-Marcum, Brittany Miller, Chip Nottingham, Kelly Walker, Alexa Nottingham, and Michael Chase Miller; 5 great-grandchildren, Riley Burris, Ava Burris, Conor Harville, Greyson Wilhite and Mila Harville; and sister, Janet Crabtree Thompson of Lauderdale Lake, FL.

The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 pm on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at First Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm with Dr. Marvin Cameron officiating and the eulogy by Mike Miller.

The graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday at Oak Hill Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Chip Nottingham, Michael Chase Miller, Riley Burris, Joe Crabtree, Buddy Crabtree and John B. Nottingham. Honorary pallbearers will be Ron Isaacs and John Isaacs.

Memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society, 871 N. Weisgarber Rd., Knoxville, TN 37909.
