Junior Bruce Crawford
Junior Bruce Crawford, 63, of Jonesborough, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 2, 2009, following a brief illness. Born in Kingsport, Junior resided in Ohio for several years, and served in the U.S. Army for 15 years. He was in construction and was a carpenter by trade, and had resided in Kingsport for the past 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jay B. Crawford; his wife, Barbara Crawford, who died in 2002, and his step-father, John Ballard Bolden.
He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Ruth Bolden of Kingsport; sisters, Dolores Goins of Rogersville and Linda Joyce Smith of Hilton VA; brothers Jack S. Crawford and Ricky Bolden, both of Kingsport; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Funeral services be held at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Wayne Baker officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Glen Union Church Cemetery with military rites by American Legion Post #3/265.
