Junior Riner

Wilburn Wilson Riner, Jr., of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord early Tuesday morning, November 21, 2017. Junior was born in Kingsport where he had lived his entire life. He worked for the Church Hill Rescue squad, AFG, meat market manager at Food City for several years, and then was self-employed in landscaping and lawn service. Junior was a Free Will Baptist.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilburn and Polly Riner Murray; and daughter, Amy Mathes.

Junior is survived by his wife, Connie Riner of the home; two daughters, Tonyal Ferguson and husband Jeffery, and Amanda Riner, all of Kingsport; sons, Jeffery Riner, Scott Riner and wife Heather, Nathan Riner and wife Jackie all of Kingsport, Haskel Smith and wife Amber of Greeneville, Ezekiel Tarleton, Caden Ottinger, Liam Ottinger, and Xavier Ottinger; 14 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Doris and Bobby Tate of Greeneville; Anita and George Hughes of Kingsport, Pamela and Tony Fields of Kingsport, and Donna and Bryan Mullins of Bristol; one brother, Ted Riner and wife Brenda of Surgoinsville; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, November 24, 2017, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 25, 2017, at Pine Grove Free Will Baptist Church.

Burial will follow at Pine Grove Free Will Baptist Church with Youth Pastor Haskel Smith and Rev. Clifford Cole officiating.

Pallbearers will be Jeffery Riner, Scott Riner, Nathan Riner, Jeffery Ferguson, Ezekiel Tarleton, Austin Riner, and Haskel Smith.

The family wished to express a special thanks to Amedysis Hospice.
