Karen Miner Shortt

Karen Miner Shortt, 61, Church Hill, TN went to be with the Lord early Wednesday morning, September 26, 2018, following an extended illness. Karen was born in Sullivan County, resided in the Sullivan Gardens area and had lived in Church Hill for the past 6 months. Karen was a loving mother and wife.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary; parents, Martha and Bill Miner; and 2 brothers and 1 sister.

Karen is survived by her daughters, Brittany Miner Osborne and husband, Wendell of Church Hill, and Allison Miner; son, John Miner of Church Hill; sister, Becky Smith and husband, Gary of Kingsport; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 3-4:00 pm on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The memorial service will follow at 4:00 pm with Preacher Osborne officiating.
