Kathleen Hayden

Kathleen "Kitty" Gibson Hayden passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2006, at Habersham Medical Center, Demorest, GA.
A long-time resident of Kingsport, Tennessee, she had resided for the past six years at Magnolia Hills Retirement Home, Demorest, GA. Born in Castlewood, VA on June 3, 1917, Mrs. Hayden was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Archie Ted Hayden, her parents, E.K. and Rebecca Gibson, and nine brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her daughter, JoAnn Bowen Hornsby Mrs. William of Clarkesville, GA; one granddaughter, Amy Grills Johnson Mrs. Ken of Demorest, GA; and four step-grandsons, Lt. Col. Scott Bowen Sonja, Spangdahlm AFB, Germany, Patrick Bowen Beth of Louisville, KY, Bill Hornsby Kristin, Lawrenceville, GA and Scott Hornsby, Atlanta, GA. She is also survived by two great-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Saturday, December 16 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.
A graveside service will be conducted on Sunday, December 17 at 2:00 p.m. at East Lawn Memorial Park with The Reverend Dan Clark presiding.
