Kathleen M. Sands, 87, of Kingsport, passed away Monday (February 19th, 2018)
Born in Russell County, VA, she has resided in Kingsport since 1948. She retired from Tennessee Eastman Company in 1985 after 36 years of service. She was a member of Shepherd's Way Baptist Church. Kathleen also enjoyed making crafts, working in her yard and traveling.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. Sands; parents, Madison Burke and Lelier Cathern Yates Miller; three sisters, Evangeline Belcher, Erlene Price and Kledith "Pudge" Miller; four brothers, Dallas, Balfred, Don and Garland Miller.
She is survived by three sisters, Ellawean Wilson and husband Virgil; Jewel Miller; Sue Nash and husband Wayne; sister in law, Betty Miller, and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Tuesday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11am Wednesday in the Hamlett-Dobson Chapel with Bro. Tim Price officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Kingsport Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Gilliam, Greg Skelton, Rick Miller, Larry Price, Mike Miller and Matthew Gilbert.
