Born in Rock Hill on September 2, 1918, Mrs. Robbins was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church for 72 years where she and her husband, Vernon were communion stewards for many years.
Mrs. Robbins was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Alton Robbins; parents, Lee and Lillian Hart; sisters, Bess Barker, Nell Lovette, and Ruby Dunn; and brothers, Thomas, LeRoy, and Phillip.
She is survived by daughter, Kathie and husband, John Butler; son, Al and wife, Ellen Robbins, all of Kingsport, TN; grandchildren and spouses, John and Tammy Butler of Leesville, VA, David and Sharla Butler of Greeneville, TN, Bruce and Angie Butler of Knoxville, TN, Laura and Jim Byrge of Knoxville, TN, and Brian and Jenny Robbins of Durham, NC; great-grandchildren, Nicole, Victoria, Elisabeth, David, Meg, Zoe, and Ian Butler, Matthew Cox, and Caden Byrge; step-grandchildren, Ben Clark and Trey Byrge; special niece, Linda Dunn; nephews, Phil and Tom Hart; and niece, Joyce Hart Smith.
Graveside services will be held at Grandview Memorial Park, Rock Hill, SC on Tuesday, June 15 at 3:30 p.m. with Rev. Ken Owens officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John's United Methodist Church Building Fund, 321 S. Oakland Avenue, Rock Hill, SC 29730; or Amedisys Hospice Services, 200 Professional Park Private Drive, Kingsport, TN 37663.
