Kathy Ann Kennedy Carver, 51, of Kingsport, passed away at 8:00 a.m. , Thursday, November 5, 2009, in Wilcox Hall, Wellmont Holston Valley Hospital, following an extended illness. Kathy was born in Kingsport, where she resided after travel to various Air Force duty stations with her husband. Kathy was a wonderful craftslady, having a great deal of talent. Kathy was a loving and blessed lady to her family and will be greatly missed.
Kathy was preceded in death by her father, Charlie Kennedy, and a son, Joey Carver.
She is survived by her husband, Richard W. Carver, of the home; one son, Ricky Carver and wife Susanne, of Kingsport; her mother, Mrs. Reba Kennedy, of Kingsport; 2 brothers, Charles Kennedy and wife Deborah, of Kingsport, and Gary Kennedy and wife Debbie, also of Kingsport; mother and father-in-law, Raymond and Christine Carver, of Lakeland, FL; brothers-in-law, James and Danny Carver, also of Lakeland, FL; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, November 9, at Christian Life Center on John B. Dennis Highway, Kingsport. Services will be conducted at 8:00 at the church, with Rev. Keith Barker and Rev. Eddie Johnson officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Kennedy Family Cemetery on Forest View Road in Kingsport. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
