Kathy Goetting

Kathy Goetting, 63, of Rogersville, TN, went home peacefully Saturday, January, 18, 2014 at 12:50 pm.

She was an artist, enjoyed volunteering to help others, and loved the beauty of the outdoors of Rogersville. Her wisdom and love of God was an inspiration to her family. Kathy was a very loving wife, mother, and friend. She will be deeply missed and forever loved by her family, friends, and all who knew her.

Kathy was very special to her husband, Jim. She was a loving friend, girlfriend, wife, mother, and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her son, Benjamin Goetting and her mother, Dorothy Ruesch.

Kathy is survived by her husband of 43 years, Jim Goetting; daughters, Julie Louise Davidson and husband, Victor, and Valerie Sue Goetting; son, Mikey Goetting; two grandchildren, Travis and Morgan Davidson; father, George W. Ruesch, Jr.; sister, Linda Vandemater and husband, Peter; brother, James Ruesch; and nephews, Scott and Robert Vandemater.

Kathy will lie in state on Monday, January 20, 2014 from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church with The Rev. Margaret K. Zeller officiating.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Highland Cemetery, Rogersville.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to Treadway Equine Animal Rescue Sanctuary (TEARS), 8301 HWY 66 North, Rogersville, TN 37857.
