Kathy Kestner Smith, 61, Kingsport, TN, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at her home.
She was born in Kingsport and raised in Kingsport. She resided in Knoxville several years before returning to Kingsport. Kathy was a graduate of Ketron High School.
She attended The Assembly of God and was a talented organist.
Her daughter, Amy Salling, mother, Irene Kestner, and brother, Tommy Kestner preceded her in death.
Surviving are a daughter, April Graham Whitt, Kingsport, TN; three grandchildren, Arrick Blevins, Joshua Blevins, and Peyton Blevins, all of Kingsport, TN; father, Rev. Smith Kestner; Kingsport, TN; sister, Jane Hubbard and husband Jim, Kingsport, TN; brothers, Tim Kestner and wife Mary Jane, Kingsport, TN; and Phil Kestner and wife Debbie, Kingsport, TN; nieces and nephews, Beth Harkeroad and husband Keith, Kingsport, TN; Shaun Kestner, Dee Kestner, Clay Harkeroad, and Reece Harkeroad.
Calling hours are 5-7:00 p.m. Thursday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.
Services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Phil Kestner officiating.
