Katty Harrison, 88, passed away November 3, 2009, at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center. She was born March 24, 1921, in Kingsport. She was the daughter of the late John B. Nall and Zollie Brown Nall. At the time of her death, she was residing at Baysmont Retirement Community.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Harrison, Jr.; sisters, Beth Tasker, Jinny Cobb, and Ruth Whittaker; and infant daughter, Laura Lee Harrison.
Katty was a lifelong member of First Broad Street United Methodist Church and a charter member of the Crusade Sunday School Class. She was also a member of United Methodist Women.
She is survived by three sons, John William Harrison, III and wife Janie, William Thomas Harrison and wife Susan, and John Nall Harrison and wife Nancy; daughters, Zollie Harrison Miles and Laura Ann Davis and husband Tony; 14 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
Katty attended Sullins College in Bristol, VA, and owned and managed Katty's Korner restaurant in downtown Kingsport for 16 years.

A private, family burial service will be held at Oak Hill Memorial Park. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at First Broad Street United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. A. Clark Jenkins officiating. The family will receive friends at the church immediately following the memorial service. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers, and honorary pallbearers will be members of the Crusade Class.
