Kay Barnes, 80, Fall Branch, TN, died at 1:40 p.m. Tuesday after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Washington County, TN, he loved the outdoors and ginseng hunting.
Kay was well loved by family and friends in his community. He retired from Phillips Corporation in Greeneville after forty-one years of service.
His parents, Charlie and Ida Barnes and brother, Beryl Barnes preceded him in death.
Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Reba Ricker Barnes, Fall Branch, TN; daughter, Lillian Compton and husband Norman, of Harmony Community and their children Scott and Sabrina Compton, Becky, John, Audrey, and Lauren Litz; daughter, Priscilla Moore, Limestone, TN; and her children, Tina, Steve, Rusty, Kayla Collins, Jimmy, Holly, Jake, and Garrett Moore, and Holly Moore; son, Dwayne Barnes, Fall Branch, TN; and children, Hunter, Dustin, Kirsten, Devon, Shayda, and Cooper; two brothers, Billy Barnes, Summersville; Dale Barnes and wife Carol, Fall Branch, TN; four sisters, Juanita Arnold, Fall Branch, TN; Norma Nell Dockery and husband Junior, Rock Springs Community; Iva Mae Townsend and husband Joe, Fall Branch, TN; Linda Miller and husband, Bobby; sister-in-law, Luella Cook and husband Terry; two brothers-in-law, Bud Ricker and wife Barbara, John Ricker, all of Greene County; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 5-8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 16, 2012 at the Fall Branch Chapel of Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home.
Services will follow at 8:00 p.m. at the Fall Branch Chapel with Rev. Sammy Cutshall and Rev. Victor Wallace officiating.
Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 17, 2012 at Logans Chapel Cemetery.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
