Kay Bishop

Kay Bishop, 67, Fall Branch, passed away due to medical issues on Thursday, November 21, 2019.  She had lived in Silver Spring, MD the last several years, but more recently moved back to the East Tennessee area.  She was a devoted wife and loving mother, but her grandchildren and great-grandchildren became the most important love these last years of her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, J.B. and Elsie Hopkins; and 2 sisters, Georgia Martin and Daisy.

Kay is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Ron Bishop; daughter, Linda Cheslosky and husband, Mark; 2 sons, Ron Bishop Jr. and wife, Kathy, and Daniel Bishop and wife, Debbie; 8 grandchildren, Christopher Cheslosky and wife, Lindsay, Mackensie and Anna Chelosky, Macy and Cole Bishop, and Gage, Mason and Brayden Bishop; 2 great-grandchildren, Cayden and Aubree “Buttercup” Cheslosky; 3 brothers, Jack, Jimmy and Tommy Hopkins; sister, Polly O’Dell; and several beloved nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 3-5:00 p.m. Sunday, November 24, 2019 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch. The memorial service will follow at 5:00 p.m. with Rev. Dennis Flaugher officiating.
