Kenneth E. Cox, 86, of Kingsport, died on January 9, 2011 at Baysmont Nursing Home.
Born in Kingsport, he joined Tennessee Eastman in 1950. He was a graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute VPI and an Army Air Force veteran. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Leeta Depew Cox; brothers, Morton and Robert Cox; and sister, Edith Larkey.
Survivors include his wife, Jo Ann Cox; children, Jay and Sharon Cox, Paul Cox, Dennis and Kay Cox Arbogast, Ann Sherman and Susan Glynn; grandchildren, Kelly and Laura Arbogast, William and Christopher Cox, Beth and Becky Sherman.
A memorial service will be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church 1:00pm Wednesday, January 12, with Pastor G. Brent Bradley officiating.
In lieu of flowers, those who desire are encouraged to make a donation to their preferred charity.
