Kenneth N. Garland

Kenneth Norman Garland of Jonesborough, passed away on Monday, July 9, 2012 at his home. He was a graduate of Happy Valley High School and ran Garland Auto Repair for over 20 years where customers became friends and friends became family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Burl and Mary Garland, and brother, Keith Garland.

Kenneth is survived by his sisters, Darlene Garland of Jonesborough, Cathy Dennis and husband, Kenneth of Lexington, KY, Glenda Garber and husband, Robert of Goldsboro, NC; sister-in-law, Pam Garland of Jackson, TN; brother, Calvin Garland of Jonesborough; blood brother, Mark Halseth and wife, Jane of Bristol, VA; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 12th, from 6-8:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson, Fall Branch. Funeral services will follow at 8:00 pm with Rev. David Guinn officiating and blood brother Mark Halseth speaking.

Graveside services will be conducted on Friday, July 13th at2:00 pm at Monte Vista Memorial Gardens in Johnson City.

Pallbearers will be Mark "Poncho" Halseth, Derrick Hill, Mike Higginbothom, Jack Bailey, Chris Godby and John Frazier. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Garber, Claude Hill, Kenneth Dennis and Buck Linkous.
