Kenneth H. Mallicote, 77, of Kingsport, died Friday, February 2, 2018. Kenneth attended Dobyns Bennett High School, ETSU, and was a veteran of the US Army. His professional life, chiefly in engineering and maintenance, included employment at Tri-City Engineering, Mead Corporation, Huyck-Formex, and Contour Industries. Kind and humble to a fault, Kenneth daily practiced a life of friendship.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his mother, Esther Mallicote Lucas; father, Homer Mallicote; stepfather, Anthony Lucas; sisters, Barbara Zackary (Jacob), and Betty Barnes; brothers, Jack Mallicote (Claire) and Joy Mallicote.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Colleen Brown Mallicote; his children: son, Ken A. Mallicote; and daughter, Kym Mallicote; sisters, Joan Morelock (Jim), Patricia Albert (David), and Zande Mallicote; brothers, Hike Mallicote and Keener Mallicote (Nancy); five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:45 p.m. on Tuesday, February 6, 2018, at Mountain Home National Cemetery.
