Kenneth Light

Kenneth Light, 67, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord at home on December 14, 2011. He was born in Hawkins County and resided in Kingsport, TN, for most of his life. Kenneth retired from Holliston Mills after 29 years and was a member of Mt. Carmel Free Will Baptist Church of Beech Creek where he was known as the "bell ringer."

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Jessie Light; brothers, Charles, Paul, Gene, Jay and Michael; sisters, Sylvian and Reba.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Irene Light of Kingsport; children, Brenda Tipton and husband, Buck and Jennifer Lawson and husband, Jeff; grandchildren, Brian Barnette, Trevor Lawson and Colby Lawson; brother, Jerry Light and wife, Shelby of Rogersville; sisters, Geraldine Shipley of Kingsport, Wilidyne Morelock of Rogersville and Ruby Crawford of Kingsport; several nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, December 17, 2011 from 5 to 7:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson, Fall Branch. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. David, Rev. Tim Morelock, and Pastor Wyndell Sydebothom officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted on Sunday, December 18, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Carmel Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Ed Morelock, Joey Morelock, James Bragg, Allen Morelock, Jeff Lawson and Buck Tipton.
