Kenneth Don Morelock, 73, of Kingsport, entered eternal rest Friday, February 4, 2011 at his home following a brief illness.
Born in Hawkins County, TN on May 11, 1937, he was a son of the late Samuel Gaines Morelock and Flora Morelock. Don retired in 1996 from ACG, formerly known as AFG Glass Plant, after working 24 years at the Kingsport plant.
Don will be remembered as a dad that provided for and loved his children more than life itself, as a grandfather and great-grandfather that cherished his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a strong man that believed in God and made the most and best out of life. He was a husband, a brother, an uncle, and friend who would give his last cent to help his family and friends. He loved to garden and farm and always shared a cup of coffee, a country meal and usually a story about life. Don will be greatly missed by all, but never forgotten.
Don was a member of Mt. Carmel Freewill Baptist Church, where he was a caretaker of the cemetery until his health declined.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, J. C. Morelock; and one sister, Nelrose Lawson.
