Kenneth Robert Thomson, 78, of Unicoi, Tennessee, died Thursday, November 13, 2008, at the Life Care Center of Greeneville after an extended illness.
Born in Grand Forks, North Dakota, he had resided in East Tennessee for the last 30 years. He served in the U. S. Army as an officer and was a graduate of John Hopkins University. Bob worked in management for major U.S. corporations.
The family wishes to say a special thank you to the people at Life Care Center of Greeneville for their loving care and treatment.
Surviving are one sister, Kay Beekman of Mexico; a cousin, Richard Roberts of Phoenix, Arizona; several nieces and nephews; longtime friends, Bill and Mary Lee of Kingsport; and Ruth Freeman of Unicoi.
There will be a graveside service at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Mountain Home National Cemetery with military rites by the Tennessee Army National Guard's Honor Guard.
