Kieffer Martin Vaughn

January 23, 1941 - August 15, 2018

Kingsport -- Kieffer Martin Vaughn, 77, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 15, 2018. Kieffer was born and raised in Thorn Hill, Tennessee, and resided the past fifty years in Kingsport. He served in the U.S. Army and Army Reserves. Kieffer retired from Wal-Mart, following twenty years of service. He was a member of St. Matthew United Methodist Church and Whiteside Masonic Lodge #13. Kieffer loved bluegrass music, playing his guitar, the beach, and his family.

He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Mary Alice Vaughn; two daughters, Lisa Vaughn of Cincinnati, OH, and Amy Vaughn of Asheville, NC; three grandchildren, Oliver, Ella, and Saffron Vaughn of Cincinnati, OH; two brothers, Kenneth Vaughn and Merle Vaughn, both of Thorn Hill, TN. He is also survived by many friends. Kieffer will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

The family wishes to thank his caregivers at NHC Kingsport and Caris Healthcare of Johnson City.

A remembrance service will be held Saturday, August 18, 2018, at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home in Kingsport with Pastor Randall Wright officiating, with eulogies given by his daughters. Kieffer's friends are invited to join his family for visitation following the service.

Kieffer's wishes were to be cremated.
