Kim Lady Lower

Kim Lady Lower, 62, of Kingsport, died Sunday afternoon, August 19, 2018, at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center as a result of a brain aneurysm. She was a 1973 graduate of Sullivan Central High School. She attended Tusculum College and graduated from ETSU with BS Degree in Dental Hygiene. Kim was working with Dr. Brian Himelwright. She also had been an instructor for the Dental Assistants accreditation for the 1st district. She was a lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church where she had served as a deacon and elder. She enjoyed fishing and hiking and spending time outdoors, but her greatest love was spending time with family, especially spoiling her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dick Lower; mother, Frances Comerford Lady; and her brothers, Brad Lady and Dr. Michael B. Lady.
Kim is survived by her father, Dr. W. C. "Dub" Lady, Kingsport; sister, Cherrell Lady Robinette and husband, John, Kingsport; nieces, Sarah Robinette Holcombe and husband, Mitchell, their children, Luke, Lacey, and Miranda, Kimberly Robinette Royal and husband, Ricky, their children, Cody and Frances, Jennifer Lady Pruhs and husband, Rob, their children, Kyleigh and Landon, and Lauren Lady and son, Uriah; nephew, Michael B. Lady, Jr. and wife, Jen, and their sons, Josh and Luke; sister-in-law, Tena Short Lady; and nephew-in-law, Justin Short.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 1, 2018, at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Sharon Amstutz and Rev. Kemper Huber officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 100 West Church Circle, Kingsport, TN 37660 or to an animal shelter of one's choice.
