Kyle W. King, Kingsport, will be starting his first round of golf in Heaven after 95 years on earth. Born in Knoxville, he had resided most of his life in Kingsport. He was a graduate of the University of Tennessee and was a Veteran of the US Navy having served during World War II as an officer. Kyle had retired from Eastman Kodak where he had worked as a chemical engineer. He was a member of Bridwell Heights Presbyterian Church where he had served as a deacon, Sunday school teacher and church treasurer.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Esther Virginia Ashby King; son, Terry King; parents, Frank and Zella King; and 5 siblings.
Kyle is survived by 3 daughters, Jeanne Price and husband, Kenneth, Robin King, and Sarah King Taylor and husband, Junior; son, Philip Wilson King and wife, Cathy; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Nancy LaFratta; and several nieces and nephews.
The graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday April 18, 2018 at East Lawn Memorial Park with Rev. Larry Ball officiating.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 from 4-6:00 pm at Bridwell Heights Presbyterian Church. The memorial service will follow at 6:00 pm with Rev. Larry Ball officiating.
