Kyong Coates, 46, of Kingsport, died Sunday, September 18th in Knoxville. Born in South Korea, she had resided in Kingsport since 1991. Kyong was a homemaker and attended Tri-Cities Korean church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister.
Kyong is survived by her daughter, Victoria Pauline Coates of Knoxville; sons Joshua James Coates and John Joseph Coates, both of Blountville; grandson, Kaden Joseph Vanover; two brothers, Sung Bo Hong and Sung U Hong both of Korea; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Saturday, September 24th from 1-3:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport. Services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Rev. Mun Gye Lee officiating. Burial will follow at Gunning Cemetery of Blountville with Rev. Samuel Choi officiating.
Pallbearers to be family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family would like donations be made to Linda Bauer, 423-863-7861, to offset all expenses.
