Lanta Davis Brown, 81, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord early Saturday morning at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center after a short illness.
"Cully" was a beloved Aunt and friend to all that knew her. She was a longtime member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Kingsport where she taught the 2 year old children's Sunday School class for many years.
Lanta lived her entire life to serve the Lord and was an angel on this earth.
She was preceded in death by her first husband of over 40 years, Dale Davis; her second husband, William Brown; a brother, Clarence Farmer; brother-in-law, Ralph Davis; and her nieces, Jeanne Peters and Donna Rowland.
Lanta is survived by her sisters, Lea Lilley of Baltimore, MD, Janette Davis of Kingsport, and her nephew Philip Davis and wife Holly of Kingsport.
Following cremation, a private Memorial Service for immediate family only will be held at Mountain Home National Cemetery in Johnson City.
Special thanks to Brother Cecil Sturgill and the staff on the 3rd floor in Wilcox Hall for their care of Lanta.
In lieu of flowers, please make all donations to Tabernacle Baptist Church, P. O. Box 3100, Kingsport, TN 37664.
