Larry A. Middleton

Larry Middleton, 60, Kingsport, died on Wednesday, March 28, 2018. A lifelong resident of Sullivan Gardens Community, Larry enjoyed attending and participating in activities at his beloved Sullivan Baptist Church. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR races and "The Price is Right." Larry never met a stranger and enjoyed giving "hugs".

He was preceded in death by his parents, John (J.D.) and Imogene Williams Middleton; and sister, Brenda Carol Middleton.

Larry is survived by his brother, J. David Middleton and wife, Lynne J. Middleton; niece, Angela Middleton and husband, Ryan Mitchell of Richmond, VA; great-nieces, Emma, Mary and Anna Mitchell and great-nephew, Jeffrey Mitchell, all of Richmond, VA; aunts, Georgia Rector and husband James, Blanche Huckaby, Cheryl Middleton, and Debra Scott and husband, Bobby; and special caregivers, Randy Stansberry, Joan Riser, Curtis Hutchins, Regina Derrick and Deanna Dykes.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 31st from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Sullivan Baptist Church, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm with Pastor Jeff Strong officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hills Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Randy Stansbury, Greg Cox, Hank Greer, Randy Byington, Ronnie Burke, Tom Asbury, Mike DePollo and Greg Cates. Honorary pallbearers will be James "Polk" Rector, Jackie Burke, Henry Lawson, and David Moody.
