Larry "Hotdog" Anthony Arnold, 61, Gray, Tennessee, left his earthly body on Tuesday, June 17, 2008, and is now at home with his first love, his Savior JESUS.
He was born in Kingsport, was a 1966 graduate of Church Hill High School, served in Vietnam in the U. S. Army, and was a lifetime member of the Church Hill V.F.W. Larry retired from Eastman in 2000 and was a member of Gunnings Baptist Church having been a born-again Christian since April 11, 1983. He had been on many mission trips in several countries and at home including prison ministries. Larry called himself a Traveling Hebrew. He was an encourager to many people and loved to talk about Jesus and hand out tracks.
Preceding him in death were his father, Floyd Arnold; and a son, Michael Arnold.
Surviving are his wife, Linda Arnold of the home; one daughter, Heidi Bacon of the home; one son, Tommy Bacon of Kingsport; one granddaughter, Brittany Calton; his mother, Ada E. Arnold of Kingsport; and a sister, Jean Arnold of Virginia.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. Funeral services will follow at 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Bob Ferguson and Rev. T. R. Moore officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Mountain Home National Cemetery with military rites by Church Hill V.F.W. Post #9754
Pallbearers will be Jesuï??s Magana, Michael Arbogast, Tommy Bacon, Tim Keller and friends.
