Larry L. Chatman, 63, of Jonesborough, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2012, at his home following a long illness.
He was born and had lived in the East Tennessee area most of his life and was a graduate of East Tennessee State University with his Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology. Larry was in the U.S. Air Force serving in Vietnam. He retired from R.J. Griffith Co. in Nashville and loved to work out on the farm. Larry was a deacon at First Baptist Church of Fall Branch.
His parents, Russell and Maude Chatman preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Beverly Chatman; son, Travis Chatman and wife, Noemi; grandchildren, Susanna and Joe Chatman; step-mother, Ruth Chatman; brothers, Jerry Chatman and wife, Rosie and Rex Chatman and wife, Janet; sisters, Lois Ann Brandon, Candy Riggleman and Rita Keys and husband, Albert.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 3, 2012 from 4-7:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson, Fall Branch. Services will follow at 7:00 pm with Rev. Vic Wallace officiating and Albert Keys, eulogy. Providing the music will be his nephew, James Chatman
Graveside services will be conducted on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 10:00 am at First Baptist Church Cemetery of Fall Branch. Military graveside rites will be conducted by The American Legion posts 3/265.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Hite, Rex Chatman, Dakota Chatman, Bridger Chatman, Adam Chatman, Nathan Keys, Logan Keys and Mike Brandon.
