Lassie K. Moore
Lassie Margaret Moore, 95, of the Bloomingdale Community departed this life on Tuesday, October 4, following an extended illness.
Born June 19, 1916, she was a life-long resident of Sullivan County, and the daughter of the late Joe and Maude Smith Ketron. She was preceded in death by her first husband, A. Jay Herron and her last husband, Elmer Moore.
Survivors include a daughter, Jane H. Carter and husband William, Gate City; two sons, Joe H. Herron and wife Toby, Tom A. Herron and wife Josephine, all of Kingsport; sister, Juanita Catron, Church Hill; brother, Harrison Ketron and wife Helen, Kingsport; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted at East Lawn Memorial Park on Friday, October 7, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Homer Roller officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Love Meals c/o Vermont United Methodist Church, 1817 Bloomingdale Road, Kingsport TN 37660.
The family would like to thank Wexford House employees, staff, Kris and Amedisys Hospice employees for all the care and comfort given to Lassie.
