Laura White Littleton, 46, of Kingsport, was carried to her heavenly home by angels to be with Jesus on November 26, 2010 at Wellmont Holston Valley Hospital, following a brief illness.
Laura was a lifelong resident of Kingsport and a 1982 graduate of Sullivan South High School. She was employed by Wal-Mart for over twenty years, where she was a former manager of the layaway department. Laura's heart was always filled with love. She was a caring and compassionate person who never met a stranger. She had a profound love of animals and also enjoyed flowers and gardening. Laura was a lifelong member of Glen Alpine United Methodist Church.
Preceding her in death are her fraternal grandfather, C. Clifford "Pop" White; maternal grandparents, Ralph and Marie Patterson; and mother-in-law, Nancy Irene Littleton.
Survivors include her loving husband of twenty years, David Wayne Littleton, of Kingsport; parents, Cliff and Jeanie White of Kingsport; sisters, Stephanie Ryans and husband Chris, Hilliary Phillips and husband Roger, both of Kingsport; fraternal grandmother, Myrtle O. White of Kingsport; father-in-law, Ralph C. Littleton of Kingsport; brothers-in-law, Gary Littleton and wife Usley, Donnie Littleton and wife Sharon, Robert Littleton and wife Angie, all of Kingsport, Wade Littleton and wife Tina of Bulls Gap; nieces, Emilee Phillips, Rachel Littleton, Rebekah Littleton, Julie Lucas and husband Rodney, all of Kingsport, Makayla Littleton of Bulls Gap; nephews, Josh Littleton of Kingsport, Seth Bentley and wife Cara of Knoxville, Daniel and Nathaniel Littleton both of Bulls Gap; great nephews, Max and Wyatt Bentley; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of special friends; her beloved dog, Sadie; cat, Trixie; and parrot, Bo.
The family will receive friends Monday from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Glen Alpine United Methodist Church or anytime at the home of her parents; 294 Clover Bottom Drive, Kingsport, TN, 37660.
A funeral service will be conducted at 8:00 pm at the church with Rev. Dale Gilbert and Dr. Ken LaDuke officiating.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Those wishing to join the family in a procession are asked to meet at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home at 10:00 am Tuesday.
Pallbearers will be Robert Littleton, Gary Littleton, Donnie Littleton, Wade Littleton, Roger Phillips, Chris Ryans and Randy Hammond.
