God called and Laura went to her Heavenly Home on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 following a long illness. Laura will be remembered for her deep love for all people. She was the most caring, kind and giving person to everyone she knew and a most generous caregiver throughout her entire life. Laura was employed at Eastman for 30 years as a customer service representative. She loved her co-workers and her customers.
Laura was preceded in death by her father, John H. Peavler, Sr. and mother, Mary Ruth Lane Peavler.
She is survived by her brother, John Peavler, Jr.; sisters, Penny Roller and Peggy Woods; dearly loved nieces and nephews, Misty Hess, Wendy Hope, Justin Peavler, Tiffany Barrett, Eric and Alex Woods; several great-nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart; lifelong friends, Debbie Hughes and Judy Harville Knight, who were very close to her heart; and her many much loved friends.
In keeping with the way Laura lived her entire life, her wishes were to have her organs donated so that others might have a better life through her death.
A memorial celebration of Laura's life will be held on Monday, February 4, 2013 at 5:00 pm at her beloved church, Rock Heritage Baptist Church with Pastor Garry Eads officiating with a covered dish dinner to follow in the fellowship hall.
Graveside services will be conducted at East Lawn Memorial Park on Monday, February 4th at 2:00 pm.
