LaVerne E. Helmsin
LaVerne E. Helmsin, 90, of Kingsport, formerly of Merritt Island, Florida, passed away October 16, 2010 at Asbury Center at Baysmont.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Kenneth Helmsin Sr.; and son, Francis Kenneth Helmsin Jr.
Survivors include her daughter, Lois H. Carter of Kingsport; sister, Sonia Schraml and husband Karl of Cincinnati, Ohio; six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00p.m Tuesday in the chapel of First Presbyterian Church in Kingsport, with Rev. David A. Cagle officiating.
Graveside services will be held 11:00a.m Wednesday at Garland Cemetery in Garland, North Carolina.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Asbury Center at Baysmont and also to the Kingsport Life Saving Crew.
