Lawrence "Earl" Brown

Lawrence "Earl" Brown, 77, passed away Monday morning August 24, 2009 at Wexford House in Kingsport, TN

He was born in Ft. Bragg, NC, on May 30, 1932 to the late Arthur E. Brown and Bessie I. Ingalls. He was a graduate of Leon High School and Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL. Earl retired from Eastman Chemical Company in 1995 after 33 years of service. He was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church. Earl was also a member of Civitan, the Eastman Hiking & Canoeing Club, and the Kingsport Association for the Visually Impaired.

Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his siblings, Vivian Plock, Dr. Warren Brown, and Marvin Brown.

Survivors include his wife, Catherine "Kay" Brown of Kingsport; his children, Theresa Hudson and her husband William "Bill" of Eden, NY, Raymond Brown and his wife Lisa of Redlands, CA, and Valerie Love and her husband Nathan of Kingsport; his grandchildren, Mark Hudson of Jacksonville, AL, Tom Hudson and Sarah Hudson of Eden, NY, Zoe Brown and Sadie Brown of Redlands, CA, Hannah Love, Catherine "Katie" love, and Nicholas Love of Kingsport; his sister, Sharron Williams of Tallahassee, FL; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 pm Friday August 28, 2009 at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Kingsport. Rev. Father Paul Valleroy will celebrate a Funeral Mass following the visitation.
