Lee "Mac" Quillen

Lee "Mac" Quillen, 76, of Kingsport, went home to be with his Lord on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 with his wife by his side. He was a former resident of Virginia and had resided in Kingsport for the past 52 years. Lee served in the U.S. Air Force. His tour of duty was spent in Germany and Tripoli, Libya. Lee "Mac" retired from Holston Defense after 33 years of service and from BAE after 10 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawton and Mary Quillen, and two sisters, Anna Ruth Quillen and Colleen Kilgore.

Lee is survived by his wife, Norma Quillen of the home; son, Kevin Quillen and wife, Tonya of Telford, TN; daughter, Beth Henley from Kingsport; granddaughters (his little angels), Alexis, Katelyn and Sarah Quillen; brothers, J.C. Quillen and wife, Monnie of Weber City, and Paul Quillen and wife, Bobbi of Kingsport; sisters, Shirley Napier of Kingsport, and Helen Dolen of Weber City; brother-in-law, Herbert Dolen and wife, Shirley of Kingsport; special sister-in-law, Sallie Snider of Kingsport; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 5-7:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm with Pastor Jeff Strong officiating.

A graveside service will be conducted on Saturday at 11:00 am at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Military Rites will be by American Legion Posts 3/265.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Sullivan Baptist Building Fund, 4152 Maplewood St., Kingsport, TN 37660, or to Second Harvest Food Bank, 1020 Jericho Dr., Kingsport, TN 37663.
