Lena Pearl Foss

Lena Pearl Foss, 90, Kingsport, passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center. She was born in Marshall County, Kentucky on December 23, 1922, a daughter of the late John and Bessie Arant Gordon. Lena was formerly of Lakeview Michigan, residing in Florida and Manchester, TN before moving to Kingsport two years ago.

She will be remembered as a loving mom, grandma and great-grandma, was loved by her family and will be greatly missed.

Lena was preceded in death her husband of 50 years, George L.B. Foss March 13, 1998, and son, John William Foss.

She is survived by two daughters, Linda Westgate and husband, Robert of Newaygo, Michigan, and Bonnie Boochard and husband, Edward of Kingsport; five grandchildren, Robert Westgate and wife, Lori, Danny Westgate and wife, Connie, Jodie Rohn and husband, Kurt, Billi Williams and husband, David and Lindsey Boochard; eleven great-grandchildren, Chase, Chyanne, Jack, Nick, Todd, Morgan, Alexx, Rachel, Vicki, Justin and James; three great-great-grandchildren, Logan, Kaj and Tyler; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 3-5:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch. Funeral services will follow at 5:00 p.m. with Brother David J. Williams officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted on Monday at 2:00 pm at Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery in Nashville, TN.
