Leonard Lane

Leonard Lane, 80, Fall Branch, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at his home. Born in Norton, VA, he had resided in Fall Branch for the past 33 years. Leonard had previously lived in Elyria, OH. Leonard was a member of First Baptist Church of Fall Branch and was a previous member of Bethel Baptist Church in Elyria, OH. He was the owner of Lane Enterprises, Fall Branch. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle. Leonard enjoyed flea marketing and collecting Indian relics.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Orbin Lane and Emma Tucker; sister, Shelvia Baldree; and brother, Fred Lane.

Leonard is survived by his wife of 59 years, Lois Lane; daughter, Lori Skaggs and husband, Tim; 2 sons, Lenny Lane and wife, Lauree, and Larry Lane and wife, Tonia; 7 grandchildren, Kayleigh, Austin, Heather and husband, Michael, Andrew and wife, Kayley, Leia, Luke and wife, Alyssa, and Cody and wife, Amber; great-grandson, Jordan; sister, Donna Haefer; 2 brothers, Vestal Tucker and wife, Lisa, and Harry Browning; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12-2:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Fall Branch. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm with Pastor Shawn Cutshall officiating. Burial will follow in First Baptist Church of Fall Branch Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
