Leroy Reynolds

Leroy Reynolds of Kingsport, TN passed away at Johnson City Medical Center on Saturday, August 19, 2017. He was a lifelong resident of Kingsport and had worked for TEC for 31 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force having served during the Korean conflict. Leroy was of the Methodist faith.

Mr. Reynolds had served as a coach of little league baseball and basketball. He loved to spend the day hiking in and around Hawkins and Greene Counties. He always had a positive outlook and a smile.

He was preceded in death by his parents, E. Dane Reynolds and Nina J. Malone Reynolds of Greene County, TN; 4 sisters, Faunda R. Malone, Wanda R. Roberts, Geraldine Tunnell, and Opal Johnson; 4 brothers, Darrell, Lajoy, Bill and Bobby Reynolds; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Reynolds is survived by his wife, Mozella Bushong Reynolds of the home; son, David Wayne Reynolds of the home; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 pm on Thursday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Friday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport with Pastor Wayne Baker officiating. The graveside service will be held at 1:30 pm on Friday at Cross Anchor Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery at Baileyton.

The family would like to thank the nurses at Johnson City Medical Center, especially the 2nd and 4th floor. They gave loving and caring service to Leroy during his brief stay. Our neighbors have shown loving friendship from the onset of Mr. Reynolds illness. Thank you to all who helped. Your friendship and caring nature would have pleased Leroy very much.
