Leslie C. Vaughn, 63, Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 4, 2007, at his home following a brief illness.
Born in Elizabethton, Tennessee, he had resided most of his life in Kingsport. He was retired from Holston Defense Corporation and was currently employed by BAE. Mr. Vaughn was a member of Colonial Heights Christian Church and was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force.
His parents, Stewart and Ella Vaughn; and two sisters, Roberta Winters and Faye Renner, preceded him in death.
Surviving are his wife, Betty Vaughn, Kingsport; one daughter, Tracy Vaughn, Charlotte, NC; one son, Shane Vaughn and wife, Kristina, Kingsport; two grandchildren, Julia Vaughn and Ethan Vaughn, Kingsport; one brother, Ray Vaughn and wife, Ruth, Greeneville, TN; and several special nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. Funeral services will follow at 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Hugh Thompson, Minister and Wes McElravy officiating.
There will be a private graveside service on Monday at Happy Valley Memorial Park in Elizabethton.
