Lester Greene, 67, of Kingsport, died unexpectedly Friday, November 21, 2008 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
Mr. Greene was a lifetime resident of Kingsport and was a fun loving person who was loved by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, L. C. and Bessie Greene; his wife, Mary Greene; and two sisters, Carol Waggoner and June Hromadka.
Surviving are three sisters, Ruth Bolden of Kingsport, Dorothy Rogers of Kingsport, and Phyllis Byrd and husband Bill of Johnson City; five brothers, J. Frank Greene, Don Greene and wife Virginia, John Atlee Greene and wife Linda, all of Kingsport, Clyde Greene of London, KY, and Jerry Greene and wife Edna of Kingsport; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. Services will follow at 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with Rev. Raymond Hammonds officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 508 Princeton Road, Suite 102, Johnson City, TN 37601.
