Leta went home to glory on July 12, 2019 at 5:00 am. Our loss is Heaven’s gain, and she just began her new life with no more pain. But through it all, her faith never wavered; her love for family and friends was unconditional. A mighty saint just entered Heaven’s gates.
Leta was born in Sullivan County, TN but lived her adult life in Gray, TN. She was a faithful member of Orebank Chapel Central Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Perry Lee Hutchins; parents, Preacher Emory Potter and Margaret “Nanny” Potter; son, Preacher David Hutchins; 2 sisters, Edith Lee Potter and Dana “Jo” Thornburg and husband, Preacher Lelbert Thornburg.
Surviving are her sister, Rosa Barton; daughter, Karen Potter Moore and husband, Harry; sons, Danny Hutchins and wife, Lisabeth, and James Hutchins and wife, Karen; daughter-in-law, Ellen Hutchins; grandchildren, Santana and Andrew Hutchins; and Justin Morre and wife, Trish; great-grandchildren, Hunter Moore, Alley and Aaron Frazier and Rachel Calloway; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; and one special nephew, Terry Thornburg who was faithful to her.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Orebank Central Baptist Church on Sunday, July 14, 2019. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm with Preacher Tim Risner and Preacher Wayne Baker officiating. Burial will follow in Snyders Memorial Gardens.
