Letha B. Guy Zabel, 73, of Kingsport passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2008, at her home.
Born in Logan County, West Virginia, she resided in Yuma, Arizona for 23 years and retired from the Arizona Bank where she had worked as an assistant manager/operations officer. She had resided in Kingsport since 1992.
Her husband H. E. "Ed" Zabel, three brothers, and one sister, preceded her in death.
Surviving are one daughter, Cindy Rogers and husband Steve of Kingsport; two sons, Michael Howe Sr. and wife Casey of Fall Branch, Eddie Zabel of Johnson City; seven grandchildren, Sabrina Hatcher, Michael Howe Jr., Sydney Christian, Destiny Hensley, C. J. Hallock, Steven Rogers Jr., and Josh Rogers; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters, Leona Lewis of Kingsport, Imogene Guy of Kingsport, Pauline Mullinax and husband Eugene of Luray, Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor J. W. Depew officiating. Interment will follow at Lone Star Cemetery in Kingsport. Pallbearers will be Michael Howe Jr., Steven Rogers Jr., Josh Rogers, C. J. Hallock, John Conkin, and Shane Hatcher.
