Lettie Bookhardt-Sivert, 85, of Kingsport, passed away Sunday, May 24, 2009, at Wellmont Hospice House, Bristol.
She had retired from the Kingport Press after 38 years of service, and was a member of the Christian church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Lona Parlier, a brother, Stanley Parlier, and a sister, Eva Anderson.
Survivors include a daughter, Jean Herron Brown and husband L.T. Bud, Oliver Springs, TN; a grandson, Michael Brown, Seattle, WA; beloved sister-in-law, Nannie Parlier, Chuckey, TN; a niece and several nephews.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport.
Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Honorary Pallbearers will be Sherrill Parlier, Ray Parlier, Stan Parlier, Brad Parlier, and Matthew Housewright.
