The Lord called Lillian Mae Hite, 67, of Kingsport home on Saturday, December 7, 2007 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was a member of Bays Mountain Baptist Church.
Lillian was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Cox; parents, Oren and Maud Grimsley; brothers, Paul, O.M., and Glen Grimsley.
She is survived by her husband, Donnie M. Hite; a daughter, Janet McCray and husband Richard all of Kingsport; a step daughter, Debra Goins of Church Hill; sons, Junior and Jamie Cox of Kingsport; six grandchildren, Casey Church, Craig Davis, Jessie Cox, Cheyenne Goins, Sara McCray, and Abby McCray; three sisters, Clara Lee Bates of St. Petersburg, FL, Marie Scott and husband Larry of Jonesborough, and Liz Tiny Plueddemann and husband Darryl of Sevierville, TN; dearest friend, Sue Mitchell; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Fall Branch Chapel of Hamlett ? Dobson Funeral Homes or anytime at the home of the daughter.
Services will be conducted at 8p.m. Sunday at the Fall Branch Chapel with Pastor Lester Morelock and Pastor Tim Hale officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church of Fall Branch Cemetery in Fall Branch.
