Lillian Almeda Statzer Absher Price, 81, of Kingsport, went home with the angels on Wednesday, April 4, 2012.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend.
Lillian was preceded in death by her first husband, Willie Absher; second husband, Joe Price; children, Emmett Pat Absher and Edith Ann Steffey; father, Joe Saul; mother, Gertrude Statzer; stepmother, Amanda Saul; sisters, Ona Lee Saul and Elsie Lawson; brother, Roy Statzer, Jimmy Statzer, Charlie Saul, Fred Saul and James Saul.
Survivors include three sons, Willie Absher, Kenny Absher, and Daniel Absher and wife Donna, all of Kingsport; five daughters, Mary Absher, Virgie Chase and husband Steve, Linda Ramey, all of Kingsport, Peggy Ellis of Big Stone Gap, VA, and Tammy Begley of Kingsport; nineteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Lonnie Statzer and wife Wilma of Big Stone Gap, VA; four sisters, Mary Hughes and Maxie Howington of Kingsport, Ruby Hass and husband Wince, Virgie Rhoton and husband Bill, all of Fort Blackmore, VA; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Hamlett Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. Services will follow at 8 p.m. with Pastor Richard Dice officiating.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Old Kingsport Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Family and friends will gather at the cemetery.
Sons and grandsons will serve as honorary pallbearers.
