Lillian R. Taylor

After a long valiant battle with ovarian cancer, God chose Monday, April 20, to receive Lillian R. Taylor. Her sweet spirit touched the lives of many people. Lillian was born and raised in the Indian Springs area, graduating from Blountville High School in 1958. She retired from the medical office of Dr. Krishnamorthy in 2009. She was a long standing member of the Colonial Heights United Methodist Church.

Lillian was preceded in death by her father, D. Ralph Ramey; mother, Lakie Preston Browder Ramey; and brother, Allen L. Ramey.

She is survived by her husband, Kenny who was by her side constantly during her sickness. They would have celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary on April 29th. She is also survived by her son, Chris Taylor and wife Amy of Murfreesboro, TN and a very special grandson, Will Taylor of Murfreesboro, TN, a sister, Brenda Taylor and husband Jerry of Colonial Heights, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive friends at Colonial Heights United Methodist Church on Thursday, April 23rd from 5-7:00 p.m. A memorial service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Robert Burlingham officiating. Burial will be Friday at 11:00 a.m. at East Lawn Memorial Park. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Members of the Colonial Heights United Methodist Church Fellowship Class will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family would like to thank the office of Dr. Paul Kramer for the loving care provided for Lillian, especially Donna, Angela, Paige, and Amanda. Also thanks to the Amedisys Hospice Care nurses and the Fellowship Class of Colonial Heights United Methodist Church and neighborhood friends, especially Dorothy Donihe.
