Lillie Kilgore, 79, of the Bloomingdale Community and Wexford House passed away on Monday, May 23, 2011. She was born October 28, 1931, in Nora, Virginia, and lived most of her adult life in Kingsport, Tennessee.
She was preceded in death by her mother and step-father, Rosie and Patton Marshall; grandparents Elihue and Camey Kilgore; and her uncle Riley Kilgore.
Survivors include her aunt Delphia Kilgore, cousins Marcella Farmer, Malinda Moore, and their families.
She was a member of Bethany Old Regular Baptist Church.
Services will be conducted at Bethany Old Regular Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 26, with Elder Ronnie Hensley and Elder Walter Rose officiating with burial to follow at the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be friends and family members.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Church.
The family wishes to thank the nursing staff, CNA's, and Dr. Gonce for the great care they have given Lillie. A special thank you goes to Amedisys and especially Joyce for the special care and kind words.
