Linda Whetsel Hite, 62, Fall Branch, passed away peacefully following a lengthy illness.
She was born in Washington County, Tennessee, where she resided most of her life. Linda was a loving and caring person who loved life and all it had to offer. She was a member of Oak Glen Union Church.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Oba Lee Hite; parents, Clyde and Etta Whetsel; brothers, Homer Whetsel and Rev. Earl Whetsel; and an infant sister.
Surviving are one sister, Juanita Sams, Fall Branch; two sisters-in-law, Wanda Whetsel, Greeneville, Dorothea Whetsel, Germany; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Saturday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Fall Branch. Services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Wayne Baker and Rev. James McNeil officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Sunday at Oak Glen Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Mark Sams, Gale Crawford, Evan Crawford, David Walters, Mike Belt, and Steve Bailey.
